In February of 2024, Jay Langfelder and Amanda Jones opened Pizzeria Florian at 650 Main Street in East Aurora, building on years of experience in artisan pizza and hospitality. Originally known for their work at Jay’s Artisan Pizzeria in Kenmore, their approach has continued to evolve through influences from New York, New Haven, Naples, and Rome — combining elements from each style into a pizza uniquely their own.

Focused on technique, consistency, and high-quality ingredients, the concept was developed to create a pizza that delivers equally well for both dine-in and takeout. The menu emphasizes balance, texture, and thoughtful ingredient combinations while continuing to evolve through seasonal specials and creative offerings, including a strong focus on vegan and vegetarian dishes.

Jay and Amanda’s concepts have been featured in PMQ Pizza Magazine, Pizza Today, Women In Pizza, The Daily Meal, 50 Top Pizza, Eater, CBS Saturday Morning, and numerous national and regional publications.

With more than 30 years of combined restaurant industry experience, Jay and Amanda have executed events ranging from intimate private dinners to gatherings of more than 400 guests. In 2022, they were selected to make pizza for the wedding celebration of Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck.

Since opening their first concept in 2015, Jay and Amanda have helped shape the evolving pizza scene in Western New York through a continued focus on craftsmanship, innovation, and hospitality.
